Residential Home

for the elderly

The Lounge

The Lounge is very spacious and light having a very large bay window with
low window sills enabling residents to sit and perhaps enjoy a book from our library whilst enjoying the view across the front gardens. The large inglenook fireplace with a real log fire offers a cosy homely atmosphere through the dark
winter months. An ideal room to pursue indoor hobbies, cards, chess, knitting etc.

The Dining Room

A very pleasant room with three oak tables and easy to manage chairs, catering spaciously for all the residents. Another large bay window overlooks the rear garden, rockery and fish pool. Three entrances make easy access to the dining room with the lift very close by in the central hall. Wide double doors offer direct access to the lounge and of course staff are always at hand to assist.

Activities among residents are encouraged at all times particularly those which the residents have been familiar with in the past. Recent activities have included art / craft classes, cooking cake making, live entertainment, outings to places of interest, games afternoons and social / charitable evenings or events, (often organised by the residents)

Residents Meetings

These are bi-monthly and offer all residents an opportunity to put forward suggestions relating to the menu, forthcoming activities and events.
Money and valuables
It is discouraged to bring large amounts of cash and valuables into the home. If so desired, the residents must ensure that they are adequately supported by an appropriate insurance cover.

Visitors

Visitors are encouraged at all times with the exception of meal times. It is experience that the elderly do like advance warnings of visits whenever possible. Luncheon with a resident can be arranged for visitors if required.

Smoking is not encouraged and for the benefit of non- smoking residents, smoking is confined to the smokers room only.

Other facilities
