The activities provided by the home are individualised to each resident and include contact with the local community both within and outside the home. Contacts with family and friends are encouraged. Residents are able to choose which activities they attend or participate in.
The home seeks the views of the residents and considers their varied interests when planning the routines of daily living and arranging activities both in the home and the community.
We have a monthly residents' meeting in which all of the residents put forward their suggestions and ideas for the forthcoming months entertainment/outings. Recent events have included a summer garden fete, for which the residents gathered and made produce such as various jams, cookies, spicy olive oil, and hand painted place mats. Two recent canal boat trips down the River Wey and the Basingstoke canal were also a great success.
Some of the activities provided include: a weekly exercise to music group, flower arranging, weekly movies, board games, card games and baking afternoons.
