The proprietors are Mr & Mrs S. Kennedy and more recently their son Stephen Kennedy, also the registered manager and wife Jo Kennedy. All have undergone the relevant NVQ care management courses and Stephen completed his Management degree in 1997. The management of the home extends to the matron who is called Mrs McLeod and is also the mother / grandmother of the afore mentioned.

All new staff are enrolled onto NVQ2 in Care within 12 weeks of joining us and are expected to complete the course within 6 months.

Mandatory courses are also completed annually by all staff including: Health & Safety, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Moving & Handling, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Food Hygiene. Senior staff also complete Administering Medication.

Generic training is also provided in Equality & Diversity, Nutrition, Infection Control, Dignity in Death, Oral Hygiene and Prevention of Falls. Supervisions are also carried out with each staff member on a bi-monthly basis.
